TK Icaza is a writer of LGBTQIA+ contemporary fiction, suspense/thrillers, and psychological horror. Across his work, he is drawn to flawed, funny, deeply human characters who are fighting to live honestly while confronting the secrets, fears, relationships, and histories that make honesty difficult.

For more than forty years, Icaza has written stories shaped by his fascination with character, emotional truth, and the complicated distance between who people have been and who they are still becoming. His fiction explores identity, desire, grief, family, memory, survival, complicated love, and the consequences of what people choose to hide. He writes with warmth, wit, emotional intensity, and an eye for the truths that do not come easily.

Icaza’s experience developing long-form fiction has strengthened his approach to character development, narrative continuity, revision, dialogue, structure, and immersive setting. His professional background in management and communication also informs his interest in human behavior—particularly the ways people perform confidence, suppress conflict, protect themselves, and reveal who they are under pressure.

He is currently developing novel-length fiction and building toward future publication through continued revision, submission opportunities, and professional growth. Through TK Icaza Books, he shares works in progress, writing updates, and the evolving stories at the center of his creative practice.
